Shipmate Summer, Lily Kubisiak

Our shipmate Lily Kubisiak is a junior in the School of Nursing and spent her summer working as a Patient Care Tech in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) at Michigan Medicine. Working in the NCCU, Lily helped care for a diverse patient population that included stroke patients, seizure patients, patients who were in ATV/motorcycle/car accidents, and patients recovering after brain surgery. Her experience this summer has made her eager to continue to work with and care for patients in her psych and med-surg clinicals this semester!

Outside of the hospital, Lily enjoyed spending a lot of time outside this summer both in Ann Arbor and on vacations. Some of her favorite outdoor activities included hiking, canoeing, exploring different farmer's and artisan markets, and reading in various parks. She also took trips to Manistee, MI, where she spent time on the beach with her family and Hocking Hills, where she went hiking with her mom.
